We are pleased to announce that Ian McEwan will be joining the Team at Infiniski and will be leading the majority of training sessions moving forward.
With over four decades in snow sports coaching, Ian brings a deep blend of experience from both alpine and indoor environments to best develop his clients. He currently coaches with the National Schools Snowsports Association and Impulse Racing, helping young athletes develop race technique
Ian has work in the mountains, indoor snow centres and plastic slopes but has a real passion for the SkyTech Carving Simulator (Infini-Ski), making him one of the few instructors in the UK to have hands-on experience across all major indoor training systems. His approach to technical development indoors is directly informed by his alpine coaching work—helping skiers of all levels translate dry slope skills into real mountain performance.
Earlier in his career, Ian was manager and chief instructor at Bracknell Ski Centre, where he helped grow one of the region’s most active grassroots ski communities.
He is a member BASI ,Snowsports England (Race Coach) and IASI and he holds a Level 2 Alpine Ski Instructor licence and a Alpine Foundation Performance Coach (L1) Licence - Alpine Ski Race Coach, with a Level 2 coaching assessment set for completion this season.
Whether you're starting out, building confidence, or chasing performance gains, Ian brings a calm, professional presence and a clear coaching style to every session.
Amazing recent feedback:
8th September 2025
I had a great session on the simulator. It was a really interesting way to get some coaching on improvements to my technic and the most fun I've had in a workout for a long time.
Ian was brilliant. Our paths first crossed many years ago, so it was a lovely way to reconnect with him. His teaching was constructive and although he pushed me hard, I came away eager to book another visit.
I might of had a few sore muscles the following day, but it just proved in order to get fit to ski you have to ski..!!!!!
Will be returning a few more times before the annual holiday.
Thank you T for your feedback!
Proud to be supporting grass roots Ski Racing
Infiniski are proud to of part funded the purchase of race bibs for Aldershot Ski Race Club.
We plough most of our profits back into the sport, funding championships, supplying equipment and supporting injured athletes recover with free sessions on the simulator.
Do ski simulators work?
Does the Infiniski Simulator work?
We started work with a 9 year old dry slope racer who started racing in March 2021. He trained hard and progressed massively during the dry slope season in the UK. He won races, made podiums and at 10 was, and is, the fastest skier in his school (which goes up to year 8).
He entered his first Alpine season in February this year and has just finished at the British Alpine Championships in Tignes, where he finished 13th in the Giant Slalom!
And as one Teams Head Coach has commented - that clearly shows how the simulator has aided his rapid development.
Well done Freddie your hard work has paid off, and we are all proud of you.
